But our tank doesn’t need a cooler. Liquid carbon dioxide is widely used as a refrigerant in mechanical refrigeration system. The expansion of liquid carbon dioxide provides rapid refrigeration. Carbon dioxide can also be used to make carbonated drinks. Carbon dioxide is an inert gas and can be used for fire fighting. Carbon dioxide can be used as a neutralizer to control the pH value in the reaction process. Carbon dioxide is also used in other applications, such as aerosol spray, pressure spray packaging, pneumatic conveying of hazardous liquids, shielded arc welding, cement curing, etc.

LCO2 storage tank is a compact and fully equipped system, which is designed to store liquid carbon dioxide and has the dual function of supplying liquid and gaseous substances. The shell material is Q345R, which is a common low alloy steel with carbon equivalent of about 0.4% and excellent welding performance. It is not easy to produce welding cold cracks under normal welding conditions. Because of its high content of Mn, the ratio of Mn / s can meet the requirement of preventing crystal crack and has better ability of resisting hot crack. Therefore, when the chemical composition of base metal is normal and the welding material and welding parameters are selected correctly, the hot crack will not occur.
