(1) Hydrogen sulphide content in liquefied petroleum gas
This is to determine the existence of stress corrosion tendency of the main factors, when the hydrogen sulfide content is lower than 10×10-6, the probability of producing stress corrosion cracks is low, with the hydrogen sulfide concentration, the probability of a substantial increase, when the concentration is greater than 100 x 10-6, the probability of producing stress corrosion cracks is very high.
(2) Strength level of the material
Higher strength level of steel, more prone to stress corrosion cracking, the use of low alloy high-strength steel manufacturing spherical tanks, the probability of cracking is generally higher than ordinary low alloy steel manufacturing spherical tanks.
