General provisions

1.1 After the pipeline passes the pressure test, the construction unit shall be responsible for organizing the purging or cleaning (referred to as purging), and shall prepare a purging plan before purging.

1.2 The flushing method should be determined according to the use requirements of the pipeline, the working medium and the degree of dirt on the inner surface of the pipeline. Liquid pipes with a nominal diameter of less than 600mm should be flushed with water; gas pipes with a nominal diameter of less than 600mm should be purged with air; steam pipes should be purged with steam; non-thermal pipes should not be purged with steam.
