This article will present what I have learnt about design codes in my 7 years in the LPG industry.

We all know that each country has its own code and requirements for the LPG pressure vessel industry, even in countries where there is no heavy industry, they may refer to other countries’ codes, the globally accepted standard is ASME VIII DIV-1.

In South Africa, The Approval must be done according to the following Standards:
– ASME 1
– ASME VIII Div. I & 2
– BS 1113
– BS 2790
– PD 5500
– AD-MERKBLAETTER
– TRD
– ASME B3.1, B3.3
– PED Module G or B1+F

If the tank imported by a South African customer is a Chinese pressure vessel design specification, the customer needs to re-acquire the local certification after obtaining the LPG gas tank. This process is relatively complicated, and it may be difficult for non-professional personnel to operate No matter which country you are from, if you have any questions about LPG gas tank&LPG gas filling plant, please feel free to contact us.
