Safety Valve: A safety device that automatically opens to reduce pressure when the pressure inside the liquefied petroleum gas storage tank is too high. Liquefied petroleum gas storage tanks must be fully opened with a spring-loaded safety valve. In addition, the opening pressure should not exceed the design pressure of the storage tank. There must be at least two safety valves for a storage tank of 100 m3 or more and a valve should be installed between the safety valve and the storage tank. Valve ports should be fully open. Must be sealed or lead-locked.
