Before the equipment is newly put into use or put into use again after long-term disuse, maintenance or relocation, the air in the tank must be replaced (direct filling of LPG without replacement is strictly prohibited).
1、Inert gas replacement method. That is, the inert gas is used to directly replace (dilute) the air in the storage tank. The inert gases mentioned here are non-toxic gases that are neither flammable nor combustible, such as: nitrogen, carbon dioxide, etc. Nitrogen, for example, is briefly described as follows: nitrogen is injected into the tank from the inlet port, the tank pressure is raised to 0.6MPa, the pressure is maintained for 10 minutes, the gas is discharged from the drain port, and the tank pressure is reduced to 0.2MPa (the tank is always under positive pressure to prevent air from entering) when the drain port is closed (the gas phase port, the return port and the valve at the end of the outlet pipeline can be opened momentarily to clear the air in the pipeline by the way). (When bleeding, open the valves at the end of the gas phase port, return port and liquid outlet line momentarily to remove the air from the pipes). Repeat the above operation more than three times to complete the tank replacement. If carbon dioxide is used for replacement, the gas is fed from the liquid inlet and discharged from the venting port, in the same way as above. This method is reliable, high safety factor, success, generally recommended to use this method.
