If it is possible to turn the container over, allow gas, not liquid, to escape. Spray water to suppress vapour or redirect vapour cloud flow to avoid water contact with leak. Prohibit direct impact of water on the leak or the source of the leak. Prevent gas from spreading through sewers, ventilation systems, and confined spaces. Isolate the leak area until the gas has dissipated. As an emergency precaution, isolate the leak at a distance of at least 100 m. In the case of a large leak, the initial evacuation distance downwind should be at least 800 m.
