The inner tank wall is the main component of the cryogenic storage tank and is made of low temperature resistant steel plates with good mechanical properties welded together. For example, the bottom plate and ring plate of a tank are 16 mm thick and made of A537 CL2 steel, while the rest of the plate is 6.35 mm thick and made of A537 CL1 steel.
2 Cooling layer
Tank wall insulation The inner side of the outer tank liner is sprayed with polyurethane foam, which is generally required to have a thermal conductivity of ≤ 0.03 W/(m-K), a density of 40-60 kg/m3 and a thickness of about 150 mm.
