Firstly because of the nature of LPG

② Liquid LPG is lighter than water.
③LPG has a high saturated vapour pressure and vaporises quickly, absorbing a large amount of heat in a short time during the process of changing from liquid to gas. If sprayed onto the human body, it will lead to local cooling of the skin surface and cause frostbite.
Process principle
As liquid LPG is lighter than water, if a leak occurs at the bottom of the tank at the valves, flanges and connections, water can be injected into the tank through the process pipeline to hold up the LPG with water, isolating the LPG from the leak point and reducing the possibility of the LPG leaking into the surrounding environment. This buys time for the implementation of measures such as leak plugging and tank dumping, and reduces the amount of liquid LPG ejected, reducing the injury to the operator.
