What are the common faults of double-layer tanks

Date: Jul 22, 2020
Double-layer oil tanks can be seen everywhere in our lives. Double-layer oil tanks play a very important role. Then double-layer oil tanks also have certain risks. The following pressure vessel manufacturers will explain the common faults in detail for you.

The shape of the oil tank is generally vertical cylindrical, horizontal cylindrical, spherical, etc. The structure of the dome tank is relatively simple, and it is commonly used to store raw oil, refined oil and aromatic products. Floating roof tanks are divided into inner floating roof tanks and outer floating roof tanks. There is a steel floating roof in the oil tank that floats on the oil surface and rises and falls with the oil surface. The floating roof not only reduces oil consumption, but also reduces the risk of fire and pollution to the atmosphere.

Especially the inner floating roof tank, the evaporation loss is small, which can reduce the oxidation of the air to the oil, and ensure the quality of the stored oil, which is more beneficial to fire fighting. At present, the internal floating roof tank is widely used to store volatile light oil products at home and abroad, and it is a kind of used oil storage tank.

Dangerous goods are contained in oil tanks. If there is an accident, the damage will be very large and the scope will be very wide. To this end, we need to understand the emergency treatment methods when pressure vessels such as oil tanks fail:

1. In case of accidents such as fire, explosion, etc.: When the oil tank is discharged, the relevant operators should immediately stop the water discharge operation and immediately close the oil tank gate valve; immediately send a fire alarm signal to the entire tank Immediately extract fire-extinguishing equipment for fire fighting.

2. The drain valve of the double-layer oil tank fails and cannot be effectively braked. At this time, the mechanic should immediately put on the blind plate and report the fault to the oil depot manager.

3. In the event of an oil tank leaking and other accidents, the ongoing water discharge operation should be stopped immediately, and an alarm signal should be issued to the entire warehouse immediately and rescue work should be started immediately.

4. Accidental poisoning of staff: When someone is poisoned during daily operations, other staff present should immediately report to the oil depot manager. At the same time, the poisoned person should be moved to a safe area as soon as possible, and necessary nursing work should be performed according to the specific poisoning situation of the poisoned person, or Drive the car to the nearest hospital for emergency treatment as soon as possible.
